Keeping it all together
Hi folks! So much to write about! Things are going great at my new job working as a chef at Kissaten Coffee Shop. So far, I'd come up with my very own breakfast special which is becoming a hit with many customers. My new co-workers really enjoy my company when I work. My bosses really appreciates all the effort I put into my job. They even gave me two raises already. I have just recently met someone who is trying to put a good word for me to work with some of the top names in the restaurant industry, such as Alan Wong's and Assagio's! It's crazy! This is my first cooking job and already its kicking into high gear. As of now I'm learning to do the lunch and dinner menu. When school starts for fall semester which is just around the corner, I will be working afternoons and evenings. So that means, I'm leaving Old Navy by the end of August. I hate to leave Old Navy but I need to stick to my career path and it's not retail. Man, I hate to say this but I'm sure going to miss working there, especially all the friends that I made and it's where I found three very special friends who I love the most as if they were my brother from a different mother and sisters from a different mister. I love you guys! Although, I sure do miss hanging with you guys too during this summer!

Changes
Hi! So a lot has happen. Well, I'm graduating this friday 05/13 with my certification of completion in the culinary arts program at Kapiolani Community College. However, I will be in school for another 2 more years since I'm double majoring in both culinary and patisserie for my associates degree . Also, I finally got a job that involves with cooking! So I'm working part time at Kissaten Coffee Shop in town as a cook. I will be mostly serving breakfast all by myself so my schedule is at 5am-12pm. I have to thank my classmate Brandon for hooking me up with the job.
So lately, I have been exhausted because I'm working two jobs and I kick my own ass for working so much that I didn't have time and rest for my practical exam for Asian Cuisine class, which I got a C. My chef instructor expected me to do so well. But apparently, I didn't have the energy to focus. However, I got a B for my written final exam. I should have learned my lesson of not letting work be a primary factor and school and health comes first.
Other than that, I'm beginning to get myself out there and breaking down my walls to love again. It's been too long since I last dated and I thought, why not giving it a try again and not be such a panty. lol! So I finally took off my panties and be open towards women. I couldn't do it without my bro, my bestest buddy! I wouldn't know how to face rejection. Now I know its no big deal. Just keep moving on. If I don't do it, I will never know. Thanks bro!
In addition to that, my bro has been through a lot and now I'm very proud of him because he deserves the best. He's the strongest brother I have known and I respect that. But lately, I'm beginning to miss him a lot. Yes, there's a special girl in his life right now and I'm happy for them both. It just a weird feeling that I'm being shut out. It has happen to me before with many of my friends and I just hated that. But its different with him because he means a lot to me and he's more than a memory. Changes will happen. I just miss you and our man talks in the batcave my friend.

Emotions
It's midnight and I can't focus on my scholarship paper. I can't think straight. I can't believe you are gone and left this island. I'm trying to keep myself together but this rain and being alone in this empty house isn't helping at all. I never had a friend like you before in my life. I know you will be in my heart and that will never change our friendship. I enjoyed the days we had. I enjoyed the nights with Mona. I know I must be strong but I never knew I would feel this weak before. I could really use someone right now but I don't want to bother anyone at this time. Gwad...why are goodbyes are so hard?

I'm so fucking tired of it! It seems you haven't learn your lesson at all. You had seven DUI's in the past, went to prison for a number of times, but still you haven't learned your lesson. It's like you don't give a shit about me. Almost every night you come home drunk and there's no reasoning with you at all. I'm not going to argue with you no more. It's just a waste of time and energy. There's no way out of this but to move on. I want to move off this island and to get away from all this. I'm so tired of it! Can't take it anymore! You have ruined the pass ten years of my life because of your actions. As of now, you take care of your own actions. I want to keep pursuing my career into culinary and move with my best friend and I'm not letting this to stop me. You have damaged me so many times. This is why I don't want to be like my father. Dad...I love you but I can't take it. I just can't take any more.

Another year...a new adventure
Hey folks! Well, it's a new year, new semester, and new adventures. I rang in the new year with Mosses as he came over and sure enough my neighborhood definitively rang the new year alright! We both realized why fireworks are illegal too that night. Yeah...we seen aerial defect and a kid swinging a string of 100 red devils around like it was a jump rope. Seriously! Welcome to my neighborhood! lol!
Other than that, I took four days off from work before the spring semester kicked in. I needed those days off to recover from the hectic holiday season. Also, I didn't have a vacation for whole entire year! So yeah....I totally needed a short vacation. If I didn't my friends would keeel meeeh! No seriously they would! But yeah...thank guys!
During those four days, I finally cleaned my room. It was getting pretty bad and as of now, it beginning to look like a mess again. Bah! Well, I finally watched all the Harry Potter movies and shit got reaaaallllly serious! Now I'm reading the books to get the full details. I also seen Deathly Hallows as well, which I thought was no like of the other Harry Potter movies because "shit got reaaallly serious!" Also that day, I was no longer a virgin to Indian Food! That stuff was spicy! I did enjoy every bite of it! Other than that, I went hiking at Maunawillie with Soda Pop and Mosses. I was the first to get dirty with my muddy slippahs. Soda Pop discovered "Bamboo STRRROOOONG!" and Mosses is the great mountain goat. After, we were heading to Lanikai Beach but apparently...no more parking. So we went to Shearwoods or Bellows Beach but it was cold and choppy to swim. However, it was good day at the beach eating tuna sandwiches and chips with guacamole dip. We all talked and laughed. Later on that night, we met up with Charro and had dinner at Wailana's where "balls in my mouth" wasn't a good thing and "Coffee" sounded like "Rocky" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. That whole entire day completed my short vacation. And I felt really darn good!
So my spring semester began and CULN 221 Continental Cuisine is going well so for except the fact my chef instructor is an Indian and has strong accent. And she looks like the guy from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom "Kalimaa" guy. So far I learned how to make pasta noodles from scratch!

eek I volunteered to help with the Sony Open Gala Dinner Event hosted by Morimoto Restaurant. This was Chef Morimoto's first dinner event in Hawaii and his crew did an excellent job putting this together. On Tuesday, I helped cracked over a 1000 lobster claws so times that by 2! On Thursday, the night of the event, it was show time as I was plating a 1000 dishes! It was chaotic but it was a great learning experience. I also got to meet Chef Morimoto himself which I wasn't expecting because he is actually playing in the Sony Open. I pulled 8 hours that night which was totally worth for my scholarship points. Last year I was missing all the great events because I wanted to work and this year I am not making that same mistake! This year I'm making the effort to go for what I'm passionate about and focus on my career. If I didn't volunteer for this event....well lets say my friends would keeel meeeh for sure!
I'd say 2010 was a great year. It was the year I will never forget and it was the year I discovered my best friend and my extended family. I'd been through a lot this pass year and I don't know what I would do if it weren't for my friends. Hey that's what friends are for, right? This year...I'm just going to roll with it. No more worries and stressing on the big things in life and focus what I have and who are beside me, my friends and family. Well, here's to a new adventure into 2011.

Run
Hello! Well, it's been a while and a lot has happen after September. Here's what basically happen.
In October, CULN 130-Intermediate Cookery was coming to a close and I passed my practical exam and my final written exam. Now, I just need to wait for my overall grade for the fall semester but I'm sure I passed. Working and school was getting to me and each day I was out of gas. Halloween....man, it was the best! Let's just say I was Woody and my best friend was Buzz Light Year. I'll never forget that day!
In November, CULN 160 Dining Service kicked in and there was a lot of work that I didn't expected just being in front of the house of the restaurant. To be honest, I really missed being in the kitchen lab. But overall, I was learning a lot from this class. Going to school in the morning and working in the evenings was getting to me and my work behavior was beginning to change, and I have become a cash handler. I became more grumpy and angry. Not that I was very upset but I was really tired and out of gas. Well, I learned to changed that all thanks to my two friends. I haven't got that much of sleep because the collision of the both work and school. November 18th was my 29th birthday. The day started to be a tired one. However, that all changed when three friends surprised me to a birthday dinner and best of all my birthday cake was breath taking! Again, thanks guys for making my day! This year, my Thanksgiving weekend wasn't at the Big Island but it was at work. It was my first black Friday and it was a long day and weekend! However, I miss going to the Big Island during Thanksgiving weekend. It was my quick get away and short vacation. But school and work calls.
In December, two words....HONOLULU MARATHON! The marathon was coming up. And so was finals. Oh man....was I stressing out big time! Overall, I think I have done well in all my finals. Just have to wait for my overall grades. So last week Sunday 12/13 was the day of the marathon. 26 miles. Finished at 8:45:45. I got to finish with my best friend. It was a great day. Next year for sure I'll do it again. Christmas shopping this year is out of the window and I have no money to buy gifts for my family. Right now, I need to start saving and watch my money very closely. It's been hard but I must move on. I hope my family understands what I'm going through. Makes me sad I can't get them anything this year.
So the year is coming to a close. I really didn't know how I managed to survived through these pass three months. I couldn't handle this on my own if it weren't for my friends. But most of all the best thing that has happen to me is that I found my best friend. And dude...you are the best! I'm looking forward after college brah! lol!
Well, Happy Holidays everyone and I'll see you in the New Year! Cheers!

Hello September! Part 2 of 2
Hello! So I left off by saying, September will be the month I will never forget.
First of all, I am a person who would do things on my own. It's been like this for all of my life. I workout my own problems on my own. I never ask for help from others. I'm a very independent type of guy who would feel ashamed by asking for help. I felt if I asked for help, I would think I wasn't a man and my pride will be a taken away. Before becoming a full time college student, I would pay everything on my own such as, bills, school, and necessities. I could afford to do everything on my own because of my old job and working at Old Navy. As of now, I couldn't stay with my old job because my schedule with school and now I'm only a part time worker at Old Navy. So lately, I'm behind on my bills and each paycheck wasn't enough. I started asking for help from my father and I explained my whole situation why I needed his help really bad. He understood and he's willing to help me out. I'm so glad that he understands what is it like being a full time college student. I was so proud of myself for asking for his help. But still, I needed help and my father could do only so much. Then, a good friend stepped into the picture. I didn't want this person to help me because I felt it wasn't his problem and it was my problem that I must face and deal with it. Also, as a friend, I felt I didn't want him to get involved with my situation. I would feel even more terrible for asking help from this person. Well, this person took no for answer and I accepted his help. It was the most greatest thing a person has done for me. All my life I never had outside help before rather than my family. I never had a friend who would do this for me.
This month has been really good to me. I wouldn't have known what I would do if it wasn't for this person in my life. It's quite strange to have this person in my life who I only known for less a year but now it seemed like we founded each other and were suppose to meet, not in a creepy way. I felt I finally found my best friend. And it feels great! This person is a brother to me, the brother I never had, and the brother I can look up to. I finally found a best friend. A friend who will be there no matter what. A friend who understands how I feel.
Growing up with my two older sisters, each have a best friend since they were in elementary school together and still today they are best friends. They would help my sisters a lot and they supported my sisters no matter what. Also, they have become my sister as well. I finally have a friend like that. So last week, I was full of joy and I had to talk to my sisters. I told them the whole story with joy of tears that made them cry. They were happy I found a friend, a best friend. Also, I had to share it with my sister's best friend and she was happy as well and felt like crying. I also shared with my sister from a different mister and I also was crying with joy and so did she.
So....this is why I will never forget this month of September. It was the month I felt alive and I found my best friend. I finally say this, I'm fucking happy! So fucking happy that I want to shout at the top of my lungs on the top of a mountain. I feel so free that the weight on my shoulders are off. So now I get to know what it feels like being happy and this September I will never forget it! Thanks man! My best friend, the brother I never had!
